NAVARATHRI
-----------------
Navrathri is divided into sets of three days to adore three different aspects of the supreme goddess. In order to maintain Dharma , at times the Mother takes the form of different goddesses.
First three days the goddess is invoked as DURGA in order to destroy all our impurities, vices and defects. The significance of three days lies in the fact that everything in this universe comes in the form of 'tripudas'. So after first three days all the vices and impurities in us will be diminished. Now we have to fill our self with something divine . For that the next three days the goddess is invoked as LAKSHMI, who will bless her devotes with exhaustible amount of wealth. The wealth here stands not for the money , but for the divine wealth. The final three days will be spent in worshipping the goddess of wisdom named SARASWATHI. These three days are really called "Pooja vayppu". We'll dedicate all our abilities and knowledge to Goddess SARASWATHI. And the tenth day we celebrate Vijayadashami.
Navarathri - 9 divine nights - help us to destroy the darkness in our life and take us towards divine light.
